PURPOSE: A DVDP/VCR combination system capable of compensating for driving information of a VCR one chip and a driving information compensating method thereof are provided to compensate for driving information by a simple procedure without replacing a VCR one chip when the driving information is abnormal, thereby reducing a cost and a time for modifying the driving information. CONSTITUTION: A DVD deck unit(221) reads modifying information for compensating for DVDP driving information and/or VCR driving information. A VCR modifying information storage(215) receives VCR modifying information of the read modifying information, and stores the received VCR modifying information. A conversion signal input unit(210) inputs a conversion signal for converting into a driving state by the VCR modifying information. A VCR controller(214b) controls a VCR unit(205) by converting into the VCR modifying information when the conversion signal is received.
