PURPOSE: A stove having an upper glass plate is provided to install the tripod easily in the upper glass plate, and to prevent the tripod from being turned on the upper glass plate by mounting a protection ring in the edge of the opening formed in the upper glass plate. CONSTITUTION: An upper plate(2) is used for a stove, and made of glass. A heating source opening part(8) is arranged around the heating source formed in the stove body, and formed in the upper glass plate. A protection ring(10) is mounted in the edge of the heating source opening part, and composed of a cylindrical part(100) inserted to the heating source opening part and upper and lower flange parts connected through the cylindrical part and opposed to the upper part and the lower part of the upper glass plate. A tripod(9) is arranged on the upper glass plate, and a tripod fitting unit is formed in the protection ring. An inner flange part(105) is formed in the protection ring, and extended inward. An insertion part(106) is formed in the inner flange part to insert a projection(94) extended downward.
