PURPOSE: A robot system and a beacon are provided to exactly detect the position of a mobile rotor without the influence of the external environment and to reduce the cost. CONSTITUTION: A robot system includes a beacon where a transmitting part(10) for transmitting a light source for position discrimination is mounted, and a mobile robot having a receiving part(20) for receiving the light source. The robot system comprises a rotation drive part(30) rotating the transmitting part with a central shaft as a start point; an encoder part(40) enabling the receiving part to include phase information in the right source for the reference direction by the rotation drive part; and a position measurement part(50) measuring the position of the mobile robot on the basis of the phase information of the light source received from the receiving part.
