摘要

PURPOSE: A structure for a steering column fixing support bracket of a vehicle is provided to make the bracket light by making a support plate of the bracket from plastic and to increase strength by combining a steel reinforcing plate to the upper part of the support plate. CONSTITUTION: A structure for a steering column fixing support bracket(141) of a vehicle is composed of a plastic support plate(143) combined at a predetermined position of a cowl cross bar and made from plastic; a steel reinforcing plate(145) joined to the side of the support plate to reinforce strength of the support plate; and a brake pedal unit hinge-connected to the lower part of the support bracket. Recessed portions(144) are formed continuously at the support plate to increase the strength. The brake pedal unit is combined with the cowl cross bar by the sufficient number of screws(165) to prevent swings of the support bracket.
