PURPOSE: A transformer for inverters is provided to reduce manufacturing cost of a back-light inverter circuit of a TFT-LCD(Thin film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display) by excluding a condenser for a varistor used to stabilize discharge current, wherein the condenser is connected to a cold cathode tube in series. CONSTITUTION: A transformer for inverters includes a first-shaped core(102), primary and secondary bobbins(104a,104b), and a coil(106). The first-shaped core includes a second-shaped middle leg(110) at the center thereof and two outer legs arranged so as to be parallel with the middle leg. The primary and secondary bobbins are formed to independently wrap around the two legs of the core. The coil is wound around the primary and secondary bobbins.
