PURPOSE: A suspension and a control method thereof of a vehicle are provided to independently control each vibration mode when the number of actuators embedded in the suspension system is same as the degree of freedom for the suspension system. CONSTITUTION: In a suspension comprising a plurality of springs(140), a plurality of dampers(130) corresponding to each spring, and plural actuators(160), a suspension control method of a vehicle is composed of steps for forming plural freedom degree linear suspension matrix equation(numerical formula 1); calculating eigen-vectors of stiffness matrix of the numerical formula 1; normalizing the eigen-vectors for mass matrix of the numerical formula 1; computing similarity transform matrix comprising the normalized eigen-vectors; and mode-normalizing the numerical formula 1 through mass normalization.
