DEVICE FOR REMOVING PARTICULATE MATTERS ACCUMULATED IN A MUFFLER BY AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTING PARTICULATE MATTERS IN A COLLECTING CASE

PURPOSE: A particulate matter removing device of a muffler is provided to prevent accumulation of particulate matters in the muffler and to extend the life span of the muffler by automatically collecting particulate matters in a collecting case of a dust collecting unit after stopping the engine. CONSTITUTION: A particulate matter removing device of a muffler(10) is composed of a vibration unit(110) fixed to a vehicle body and contacted to the muffler to vibrate the muffler by self-vibration, a discharge unit(120) having a collecting guide plate installed in the lower part of the muffler and composed of an inclined surface for collecting particulate matters and a discharge port formed in the lower part of the inclined surface and a discharge passage connected to the discharge port, an opening unit(130) having an opening valve opening and closing in the discharge passage of the discharge unit and an actuator(138) driving the opening valve, a dust collecting unit(140) combined with the end of the discharge passage to collect particulate matters by applying suction force to the discharge passage, and a control unit(150) controlling the vibration unit, the actuator and the dust collecting unit by deciding starting of the engine.
