PENALTY SYSTEM FOR UNFASTENING SEATBELT USING DSRC AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A penalty system for unfastening a seatbelt using the DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication) and a controlling method thereof are provided to induce safe driving by inspiring awakening of a driver for seatbelt fastening and save police manpower owing to reinforcement of the seatbelt fastening. CONSTITUTION: An RSE(Road-Side Equipment)(10) receives an unfastened-seatbelt signal and a vehicle license number from a driving vehicle. An OBE(On-Board Equipment)(20) transmits the unfastened-seatbelt signal and the vehicle license number to the RSE by installing to the vehicle. A server center(30) receives the unfastened-seatbelt signal and the vehicle license number from the RSE, pictures the vehicle transmitting the unfastened-seatbelt signal with an unmanned camera(31), and transmits it to a police station(32) with the unfastened-seatbelt signal and the vehicle license number. A velocity sensor transmits a driving signal of the vehicle to the OBE. An ETACS(Electronic Time and Alarm Control System) transmits an unfastened-seatbelt alarm signal to the OBE.
