PURPOSE: A blank shot substitution-electronic sham magazine and a control method thereof are provided to maximize a drill effect, to reduce the drill cost, and to prevent an accident. CONSTITUTION: A blank shot substitution-electronic sham magazine comprises a firing switch sensing the pull of a trigger of a rifle; a shock-producing part(12) receiving a control signal according to the pull of the trigger and producing shock; an explosion-producing part(13) receiving the control signal according to the pull of the trigger and producing explosion; a flash-producing part receiving the control signal according to the pull of the trigger and producing a flash; a shooting mode-setting switch(15) setting up a shot, point shooting, or shooting in succession; an imaginary shot-charging part(16) inputting the charged number of imaginary shots firing by a charging barrel/power charger; a remaining shot display part(17) displaying the charged number of the imaginary shots; a control part receiving the signal sensing the pull of the trigger from the firing switch, controlling the shock-producing part, the explosion-producing part, and the flash-producing part, subtracting the number of the consumed imaginary shots from the charged number of the imaginary shots input from the imaginary shot-charging part, and displaying the number of the remaining shots to the remaining shot display part.
