PURPOSE: An indoor unit of a duct connection air conditioner is provided to connect the suction duct to the discharge duct simply at the side of the cabinet by forming an air suction port and an air discharge port at the side of the cabinet, embedding the blower and the heat exchanger in the cabinet and mounting the barrier in the cabinet. CONSTITUTION: An indoor unit(50) of an air conditioner is composed of a cabinet(52) having an air suction port(54) and an air discharge port(56), a blower(70) arranged in the cabinet, a heat exchanger(80) arranged in the cabinet, and a barrier(94) dividing the internal space of the cabinet into a suction passage(90) and a discharge passage(92). The cabinet comprises a base, plural angles vertically arranged in the edge of the base, an upper panel arranged in the upper part of the angle to form the upper part of the indoor unit and to space the air suction port from the air discharge port, and plural side panels mounted in the angles to form four sides of the indoor unit.
