PURPOSE: A device and a method for realizing a cache memory of a portable terminal comprising a supplementary controller are provided to enable a cache controller to control a cache memory to control an access of external memories, so that a main controller and a supplementary controller can share the external memories, thereby realizing terminal miniaturization at low power consumption. CONSTITUTION: The first flash memories(410) have the first area for storing operational programs of a main controller(300) and the second area for storing operational programs of a supplementary controller(310). The second flash memories(420) have the first and second areas for storing data of the first and supplementary controllers(300,310). RAMs(430) have the first and second areas for temporarily storing the data of the first and supplementary controllers(300,310) and loading a portion of codes. A cache memory(330) caches all the data and the codes. A cache controller(320) accesses the memories(410,420,430) when a cache miss phenomenon occurs to store the data or the codes in the cache memory(330), and controls an access of the main controller(300).
