METHOD FOR PRODUCING RICE CONTAINING ACTIVE PHARMACEUTICAL INGREDIENTS OF INSAM-YEONGYANGTANG(GINSENG-NOURISHING SOUP) AS PRESCRIBED ACCORDING TO DONGEUIBOGAM(COMPREHENSIVE ORIENTAL MEDICINE TEXTBOOK)

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for producing the rice containing active pharmaceutical ingredients of Insam-Yeongyangtang(ginseng-nourishing soup) as prescribed according to the Dongeuibogam(a comprehensive oriental medicine textbook). Since, the rice contains active pharmaceutical ingredients of the galenicals used for Insam-Yeongyangtang, it is useful for treatment of symptoms, such as fatigue, inappetence and the like, due to reduced energy and vitality. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing the rice containing active pharmaceutical ingredients of the galenicals used for Insam-Yeongyangtang(ginseng-nourishing soup) comprises the steps of: (a) washing rice with water three times and, followed by dewatering to give clean-rice; (b) heating galenicals of Insam-Yeongyangtang with water in the extractor to give the extract of Insam-Yeongyangtang; (c) impregnating the clean-rice with the extract of Insam-Yeongyangtang, and followed by drying; (d) repeating the step (c) three times; and (e) packing the processed rice, wherein the galenicals of Insam-Yeongyangtang include Paeoniae Radix alba, Angelica gigas Nakai, Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer, Atractylodis Rhizoma alba, Astragalus membranaceus Bunge, Cinnamomum cassia PRESL., Citrus unshiu MARKOVICH., Glycyrrhiza Radix, Rehmanniae Radix Preparata, Schizandra chinensis BAILL., Phelloterus Littoralis Bentham, Polygala tenuifolia WILLD. and ginger.
