PURPOSE: A small sized optical disc is provided to reliably record or regenerate all needed data though a size of a data storage medium gets smaller. CONSTITUTION: The disc comprises at least one data recording layer. The data recording layer includes the first recording unit area and the second recording unit area. The radius having the same circumference as a length of the second recording unit area forms a boundary between the first recording unit area and the second recording unit area. The first recording unit area records data by the first recording unit and the second recording unit area records data by the second recording unit longer than the first recording unit. The first recording unit area includes a lead-in zone and the second recording unit area includes a data zone.
