PURPOSE: A true triaxial compression test system is provided to achieve the real characteristics of a base rock by testing the base rock under a real condition in order to construct establishment such as a tunnel and an oil reserving base. CONSTITUTION: A true triaxial compression test system includes a chamber(20) for receiving a sample to be tested therein. A sample compressing device applies a compressive force to a sample(R) in the chamber. The sample compressing device includes a vertical direction compressing device(40), which mechanically makes contact with the sample(R) in the chamber and applies the compressing force onto the sample(R) in the vertical direction. A forward and backward compressing device mechanically makes contact with the sample(R) in the chamber and applies a forward and backward compressing force onto the sample(R).
