PURPOSE: To provide a pipe type of water treatment unit and a water treatment apparatus using the same, which are able to maximize the elimination efficiency of nitrogen and phosphorous by simultaneously using floating microorganisms and attached microorganisms. CONSTITUTION: The unit (10) comprises a pipe (11) which has a predetermined diameter and a predetermined length to allow river water or wastewater to be flown therein, and a rope-type media (12) which is built-in the pipe in a longitudinal direction to allow various microorganisms to be attached thereto and inhabited. In the apparatus for treating wastewater through combinations of an anaerobic tank, an anoxic tank, an aerobic tank, or a settling tank, at least one of the anaerobic tank, anoxic tank and aerobic tank consists of the pipe type of water treatment unit to reduce the wastewater treatment time and increase the elimination efficiency of nitrogen and phosphorous.
