SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DISTRIBUTING FILES ON PC NETWORK WITHOUT RELAY SERVER

摘要

PURPOSE: A system and a method for distributing files on a PC network without a relay server are provided to implement network file distribution of a many-to-many structure by making each PC function as an independent superpeer, and reduce entire network load and increase distributing speed by mainly performing the file distribution in a LAN section within a network segment unit. CONSTITUTION: As a superpeer agent performing roles of a small-scale server and a client is installed to each PC, the PCs(30,32) connected to a main server(10) first receive the file from the main server in the same network segment and other PCs distribute the file by receiving the file from the PCs receiving the file first. Each PC receives approval from a central main server before independent distribution and reports a result to the central main server after the distribution.
