BOX FOR TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE OF PRODUCTS USING POLYPROPYLENE PANEL FOAMED WITH HIGH MAGNIFICATION BY USING INERT GAS AS FOAMING AGENT, AND ITS PREPARATION METHOD

PURPOSE: Provided are a box for transporting and storing products which uses polypropylene panel for replacing expanded polystyrene and whose thickness can be reduced, and its preparation method by extrusion molding. CONSTITUTION: The box is prepared by cutting a polypropylene panel which is compression foamed with a high magnification by using an inert gas as a foaming agent, and assembling the cut one. Preferably the polypropylene is not expandable polypropylene containing a foaming agent but common polypropylene; and the panel has an expansion magnification of 10 times or more and a specific gravity of 0.01-0.1 g/cm¬3. The method comprises the steps of supplying common propylene and melting it with heat or frictional heat; supplying carbon dioxide or nitrogen as an inert gas; mixing the molten polypropylene with the injected gas; passing the mixed polypropylene/gas solution through a die to form it; controlling the thickness of the foamed one to prepare a panel; cutting or processing the panel; and assembling the cut panel by using a binding means such as a pin or a nail or an adhesive such as a bond.
