摘要

PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to smoothly discharge secondary electrons and allow for low voltage high speed addressing by increasing the surface area of a protective layer. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises an upper plate and a lower plate. The upper plate includes a front substrate(11); discharge sustain electrodes formed on the front substrate; an upper dielectric layer for covering the discharge sustain electrodes; and a protective layer(16) for covering the upper dielectric layer. The lower plate includes a rear substrate; address electrodes formed on the rear substrate in such a manner that the address electrodes intersect the discharge sustain electrodes; a lower dielectric layer for covering the address electrodes; barrier ribs formed on the lower dielectric layer; and phosphors deposited in the light emitting cells defined by the barrier ribs.
