PURPOSE: A color filter substrate and a manufacturing method thereof, an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a manufacturing method thereof, an electronic device and a manufacturing method thereof, and a method for discharging the color filter material are provided to sufficiently cover a step region at the boundary between a reflection element and a transmittance element with the color filter material, thereby improving step-coverage characteristic of the color filter by using a resist pattern. CONSTITUTION: A color filter substrate(11) has the first layer(17) having an opening part(17A), the second layer, a filter layer(111FR,111FG,111FB) located at the opening part, a reflection element(26) and a transmittance element(28) formed to correspond to the filter layer. The reflection element reflects the first light rays to the first side, wherein the first light rays are incident on the filter layer from the first side. The transmittance element emits the second light rays to the first side through the filter layer, wherein the second light rays are incident on the filter layer from the second side. The first side is an opposite side of the second side. Herein, the second layer is a resist for patterning the first layer. The first layer is capable of being a black matrix.
