PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a polymer optical fiber preform having a graded-index distribution is provided to increase bandwidth and transmission speed by periodically dropping and copolymerizing a polymer plate and a monomer compound. CONSTITUTION: A monomer supply unit stores polymer plates(80) and monomers(20) having different refractive indexes. A flow rate control valve(30) is attached to the monomer supply unit and supplies the monomers periodically. As the flow rate control valve is switched, the monomers having different refractive indexes are supplied to an inner of a cladding. The polymer plates and the monomers are alternatively dropped and copolymerized and then polymer layers(50,60) are alternatively formed on the inner of the cladding to manufacture an optical fiber preform having a graded-index distribution.
