PURPOSE: A chain cover-mounting structure for reduction of noise is provided to reduce engine noise including noise followed by behavior of a chain by installing a fastening part with a cylinder head to the middle part of the upper end part of a chain cover. CONSTITUTION: The upper ends of a chain cover-mounting structure for reduction of noise are fixed on a cylinder head through head-side fastening parts(11a,11b) and are fixed on a cylinder head cover through cover-side fastening parts(12a,12b) adjacent to the head-side fastening parts. A head-side fastening part(11c) is formed to the middle part of the upper part of a chain cover(10). The middle part of the upper end part of the chain cover is fixed to the cylinder head side. The head-side fastening part comprises a boss(13) integrally formed to the inside of the chain cover, and a pin(14) integrally formed to a bracket of a cam guide mounted to the cylinder head side.
