PURPOSE: A proportional control gas burner is provided to keep load per unit area uniform by making surface area of a burner, in which combustion occurs, changed according to load. CONSTITUTION: A proportional control gas burner(6) has plural exhaust holes(11) formed in the surface. The inside of the proportional control gas burner is empty and mixed gas flowing in the gas burner is burned in the surface through the exhaust holes. A cover housing(2) is installed to a space part of a vertical upward direction, including the end of the proportional control gas burner. A pair of sliding members(3) is formed to the inside of the cover housing. A cover(5) having a pair of guide grooves to move along the sliding members is installed between the burner and the cover housing.
