COMPOSITION COMPRISING EXTRACT FROM LYSIMACHIAE HERBAFOR PREVENTING AND TREATING ARTERIOSCLEROSIS AND ENHANCEMENT OF IMMUNITY

PURPOSE: A composition comprising Lysimachiae herbafor extract for preventing and treating arteriosclerosis and enhancement of immunity is provided, which extract of Lysimachiae herbafor increases phagocytosis of macrophages to enhance immunity, and reduces attachment of macrophages to the vascular endothelial cells, so that arteriosclerosis caused by accumulation of macrophages can be prevented and treated. CONSTITUTION: The composition for preventing and treating arteriosclerosis and enhancement of immunity comprises 0.1 to 40 wt.% of the extract of Lysimachiae herbafor, wherein the extract of Lysimachiae herbafor is prepared by adding water or organic solvent into Lysimachiae herbafor; the organic solvent is selected from C1-C5 alcohol, hexane, chloroform and ethylacetate; and the alcohol is ethanol.
