METHOD FOR SERVICING A CALL WAITING TONE IN A WIRED COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, SPECIFICALLY CONCERNED WITH MAGNIFYING A RECEIVING CAPACITY OF A SUBSCRIBER AS WELL AS A CALL PROCESSING CAPACITY

PURPOSE: A method for servicing a call waiting tone in a wired communication system is provided to embed an announcement delivery module and a music delivery module in a switching system, thereby managing call waiting tone service subscribers according to each switching system while magnifying a receiving capacity and a call processing capacity. CONSTITUTION: An announcement equipment module for supplying various music files is embedded in an internal switching system, and a call waiting tone service is registered from general subscribers and enterprise subscribers. The general/enterprise subscribers select/register desired music by calling with specific numbers. When a call is received, an exchange is switched into a music file supply module to deliver a music file instead of a ring back tone. If a receiving subscriber responds to the call while the music file is delivered, a switch connected to the music file supply module is released, while the call is connected between an originating subscriber and the receiving subscriber.
