PURPOSE: To provide a conversion valve for water softner which is substituted for a plurality of existing valves such that the water softener is constructed more simply to greatly reduce installation area of the water softener and enable the water softener to be used by a simple operation, and a water softner using the conversion valve for water softner. CONSTITUTION: A conversion valve for water softner comprises: a housing(210) comprising a supply pipe(116) for supplying raw water, a discharge pipe(118) for discharging raw water or regenerated wastewater, and an input tube(112) and an output tube(114) connected to a soft water barrel and branched off outward from the housing, wherein a supply hole(116a) connected with the supply pipe, an input hole(112a) connected with the input tube, an output hole(114a) connected with the output tube, a discharge hole(118a) connected with the discharge pipe, and a channel groove(222) connected to the discharge hole from a middle part of the output hole and the discharge hole are respectively formed on an inner trap(220) defined by the housing; a disk shaped fixing disk(240) which is closely fixed to the inner bottom surface of the inner trap, and on which a first fixing hole(240a), a second fixing hole(240b), a third fixing hole(240c) and a fourth fixing hole(240d) are penetratingly formed; a rotary disk(250) which comprises first to fourth rotary holes(250a-250d) and a communication cover(252) and defines a first mode, a second mode, a third mode and a fourth mode respectively; a cap plate(270) fixed to the outer surface of the housing to seal the inner trap; and a handle(280) comprising a shaft(260) penetrated into the cap plate and inserted into the center of the rotary disk such that the handle is rotatably clamped onto the cap plate.
