PURPOSE: A method for constructing a steel concrete retaining wall for preventing erosion of the coast is provided to prevent the coast from being eroded by waves and rip current by disposing spaces for damping energy of the wave and rip current in parallel to the front side of a vertical retaining wall. CONSTITUTION: A method for constructing a steel concrete retaining wall for preventing the erosion of coast(36) is composed steps for setting the position of the retaining wall by measuring the eroded coast; deciding a pile driving foundation or a direct foundation work by inspecting the geology of the coast; deciding the kind and size of the retaining wall to be built by observing wave(30) of the coast and the size of rip current(29); forming a gully by excavating the coast according to the inspected geology of the coast; curing subslab concrete on the bottom side of the gully; drawing an inking line on the upside of the subslab concrete and then temporally mounting a foundation mold along the inking line; marking the height of footing concrete by drawing horizontally the inking line on the inner surface of the foundation mold; arranging steel bars in the foundation mold corresponding to the arrangement standard; curing the footing concrete in the foundation mold; drawing the inking line on the upside of the footing concrete corresponding to the structure and size of the retaining wall and then precisely temporal-mounting a portion of a body mold along the inking line; marking the height of the retaining wall by drawing horizontally the inking line on the inner upper end of the body mold; completing the arrangement of the steel bars of the body corresponding to the arrangement standard while separated from the surface of the body mold at a predetermined gap; completing the temporal mounting work of the body mold; curing body concrete into the body mold; and filling an excavated portion around the retaining wall with soil after removing the body mold. In addition, a wave energy damping space is formed like a box between a vertical retaining wall and a barrier to damp the kinetic energy by trapping the waves and to convert and discharge the kinetic energy into the rip current to a rip current energy damping space.
