To provide rare earth and barium mother alloys which have high recovery ratio compared with MM and Ca-Si, show beneficial effect on deoxidation, desulfurization and hot workability of the MM and Ca-Si, prevent casting crack by lowering production rate of intermetallic phases having high brittleness during casting and reduce dust and gas, and a manufacturing method of stainless steel using the same. The rare earth-based nickel mother alloy comprises 10 to 54 wt.% of MM, and the balance consisting of nickel(Ni) and inevitable impurities. The barium-based copper mother alloy comprises 3.0 to 25 wt.% of barium(Ba), and the balance consisting of copper(Cu) and inevitable impurities. The manufacturing method of stainless steel is characterized in that a rare earth-based nickel mother alloy, a barium-based copper mother alloy or a combination thereof is added to molten stainless steel.
