An iron mill or industrial conveyer belt including tear-preventing cords is provided to minimize a damage, that is, a tear of the conveyer belt or property loss by removing foreign matters between the conveyer belt and a belt cleaner or subsidiary facility through arranging a reasonable number of the tear-preventing cords crosswise at proper intervals and to shorten time for repairing. In an iron mill or industrial conveyer belt composed of cords(112) inserted longitudinally and cushion rubber and cover rubber coating the cords, one group(210A) of tear-preventing cords is installed on the upper side of the longitudinally inserted cords in the conveyer belt by crosswise arranging from three to seven tear-preventing cords(210) at intervals of from two to five centimeters. The groups of the tear-preventing cords are arranged to be apart from each other in a distance of from thirty to seventy meters. Either a steel cord or polyester is used as a material of the tear-preventing cord.
