摘要
The present invention relates to an electrochemical methanol concentration sensor for a direct methanol fuel cell using an ultra thin polymer electrolyte having ion conductivity.;Nafion ionomer is dissolved in a porous polyethylene terphthalate (PETE) membrane to fill a hollow hole of PETE with Nafion to produce a super thin film electrolyte that conducts hydrogen ions like Nafion. By using this ultra thin film as an electrolyte for measuring the concentration of methanol, an electrochemical methanol sensor having a very fast response performance can be manufactured. Methanol concentration sensor in the present invention operates on the principle that the intensity of the current value is proportional to the methanol concentration when a constant voltage is applied from the outside after placing the ultra-thin electrolyte between the two electrodes on which the catalyst is supported.;The methanol concentration sensor according to the present invention has a 100 times faster response performance than the sensor manufactured using the conventional Nafion as an electrolyte. It also has the advantage of being available at room temperature.
