REMOTE CONTROL WHICH ENABLES INPUT OF CHARATER BY VIRTUAL KEYBOARD AND CHARACTER INPUT SYSTEM COMPRISING THE SAME

There is provided a remote controller having a function of inputting a character with virtual keyboard and a character input system comprising the same. The character input system comprises a remote controller having a function of inputting a character with virtual keyboard, comprising an infrared light emitting module, a sensor module, a controller and a light emitting diode that produces an infrared light having a frequency corresponding to a control signal from the controller, and a remote controller housing comprising a receiving unit to house the remote controller and a keyboard unit in which a character set is encrypted onto a surface thereof. Compared to the conventional virtual projection keyboards, the character input system does not require any visible light projection module and makes it possible to input characters with an infrared light alone.
