The vibrato adding device of the present invention is configured to prevent vibrato from being added continuously and to add vibrato only where necessary when adding vibrato to the caustic. Therefore, the voice signal is inputted to the detection circuit 2 which is inputted to the vibrato circuit 1 and at the same time detects the characteristics of the voice signal. The detection circuit 2 sets the flag only when the volume or pitch of the input audio signal becomes almost constant. The vibrato circuit 1 is configured to add vibrato only when the flag is set.
