PURPOSE: A method for supporting a new input interface with compatibility for a PC is provided to make a mobile computer and a portable wireless computer smaller by supporting the input interface without developing an application program for a character recognition interface of the new input device, as a new input device is installed after removing a keyboard. CONSTITUTION: If a ROM BIOS(Basic Input/Output System), which is a software routine for initializing the computer, is executed, a CPU of the computer searches an initialization condition stored in a memory of the computer(S100). If the new input device not satisfying the stored initialization condition is connected to the computer, a device driver of the new input device is initialized by execution of the ROM BIOS(S200). After the execution of the ROM BIOS, the device driver of the new input device is driven during the execution of an OS(Operating System)(S300).
