Implementation of Web-GIS system for sharing geospatial data

PURPOSE: A device and method for supplying compatible geographic information on the web is provided to supply geographic information data of various image forms and vector forms in accordance with a request of a user regardless of kind or form of a geographic information data server. CONSTITUTION: A client application(200) requests geographic information data on the web. A geographic information data server(500) supplies geographic information data on the web. If a request signal of geographic information data is received from the client application(200), a web application server(400) receives the geographic information data from the geographic information data server(500) and executes an interface. The web application server(400) changes a size and a position of the geographic information data adapted to a form requested by the client application(200) and executes a graphic process, and supplies the geographic information data as an image or standard GML(Geographic Markup Language) document.
