PURPOSE: A device for expanding a living room is provided to make the best use of space of the living room without loss, and to insulate heat by shutting off the front of the window frame with a vertical partition and forming a horizontal cover partition between the vertical partition and the front of the floor. CONSTITUTION: In a residential space(1) having a lower window frame(13) with plural rails protruded between a living room(11) and a balcony(12) to insert and move an insulation window, a living room expanding device is composed of a vertical partition(2) protruded up and fixed in the lower window frame to cover the front of the lower window frame, a floor part(3) protruded up as high as the upper part of the vertical partition in the floor of the balcony, an opening part(4) formed between the rear part of the vertical partition and the front part corresponding to the lower window frame, and a horizontal cover partition(5) detachably inserted and installed to the opening part to cover the upper part of the lower window frame.
