PURPOSE: A method for sequentially permitting the location registration of mobile stations, belonging to a 2.5G system, to a 2G system in a CDMA communication system is provided to prevent 2.5G system subscribers from registering their locations to a 2G system at the same time and at once in case that an equipment installed in the 2.5G system has a fault or executes a specific task. CONSTITUTION: An MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(130) comprises LRPs(Location Register Processors)(132,134) that execute the functions related to the location registration of mobile stations(110). The first LRP(132) is used for a 2G system, and the second LRP(134) is used for a 2.5G system. In case that a specific base station(120) in the MSC(130) cannot execute the location registration function for the 2.5G system subscribers' mobile stations located within a relevant cell as the base station(120) executes a specific task or something is wrong with an equipment, the base station(120) notifies the MSC(130) of a relevant fact. The first LRP(132) of the MSC(130) sends a signal to control so as to modify a system parameter related to location registration. The base station(120), receiving the system parameter control signal, modifies the system parameter during a regular period in order to prevent 2.5G system subscribers from registering their locations to the 2G system at the same time and at once.
