PURPOSE: An automatic ultrafine optical filter measuring method and a system are provided to produce fine optical communication filters and to make an optical communication module small and complex by an ultrafine wavelength division multiplexing film filter producing method. CONSTITUTION: An automatic ultrafine optical filter measuring system for measuring an optical filter(130) by loading the optical filter on a main frame(170) is composed of an upper optical collimator(150) fixed at the main frame to receive light by using various collimator; a lower optical collimator(120) positioned under the upper optical collimator, moved and rotated vertically and horizontally, and aligned with the upper optical collimator to emit light; a loader and an unloader(140) for positioning automatically the optical filter between the upper and lower optical collimators and returning the optical filter to an original position without damaging the optical filter; a liquid photographing element arranged at x and y axes to take a picture of the optical filter placed on the loader and unloader, to transmit the picture to a personal computer(160), and to control the arrangement of the upper and lower optical collimators; a system control unit(100) for controlling the movement and arrangement of the upper and lower optical collimators according to information of the liquid photographing element, comparing the light received from the upper optical collimator with optical filter information of an optical filter estimating data base having information about plural optical filters, and then judging if the optical filter satisfies a predetermined condition; a jig(132) for moving the optical filter to a set position by the system control unit; and a fixture(134) for settling the optical filter moved toward the set position.
