PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add a superior muting function, etc., to an acoustic keyboard musical instrument, even though it is easy to retrofit the function to the ordinary acoustic keyboard musical instrument.;SOLUTION: In addition to an ordinary regulation button 23, which abuts against a jack 12 in key pressing operation, this muting device for a grand piano has a regulating laver 223 which abuts against the jack 12 during muted playing. Here, the grand piano is an ordinary acoustic grand piano and a small jack 12B is provided with a projection 12Ba only at its tip part.
