The present invention relates to a spring-mass vibration absorber for absorbing vibrations in a structure. The vibration absorbing device includes a base plate having a first face and a second face, and a plurality of semi-curved springs connecting the base plate to a structure. Each half spring is fixedly connected to the first face of the base plate at the base plate connection point and fixedly connected to the structure at the structure connection point.
