PURPOSE: A device and a method for giving a priority to recognize connected states of the same kind of plural nodes by multi-level USB hub connections are provided to connect plural nodes to hubs on a user interface, and to connect the hubs to an upper hub, thereby configuring multi-level connections and easily maintaining the nodes. CONSTITUTION: A USB cable connects a host PC with the first hub. Output ports of controllers are connected to input ports of node connection devices, and input ports thereof are connected to output ports of the node connection devices. The controllers are installed in every hub, and receive state signals from each node connection device to transmit control signals to the connection devices. USB cables connect an output port of a final node connection device of the first hub with an input port of a hub adjacent to the first hub. A host PC recognizes/registers a device when the device is connected to the node connection devices, and outputs an uplink or downlink signal if the device is not connected to the node connection devices.
