PURPOSE: Provided is a metallic monolith substrate of 3-way catalytic converter, which is prepared by combining flat foils and corrugated foils interposed between the flat foils. CONSTITUTION: The metallic monolith substrate comprises flat foils(1') prepared by plating nickel on the surfaces of a sheet of foil and then plating rhodium on the surfaces of nickel plating layers, and corrugated foils(4') being comprised of a sheet of foil, nickel plating layers on the surfaces of the foil and platinum plating layers on the surfaces of the nickel layers, wherein the flat foils(1') and the corrugated foils are alternatively stacked, or alternatively wound to form a cylinder shape.
