PURPOSE: A net hauler for a fishing ship and a method for hauling the net are provided to raise the survival rates of caught fishes by hauling the net in a spreaded state, and to reduce the time and cost, necessary to a fish catch, by preventing the net from being entangled in spite of the repeated throwing and hauling work of the net. CONSTITUTION: The net hauler for a fishing ship includes: a guide portion; a tension regulation portion; and a rotation roller portion. The guide portion is composed of: a fixing frame(1) to be fixed to one part of ship; a frame(10), connected to the fixing frame(1) and having a slope regulator(11) in its one side; an axis(12), connected to the frame(10); a guide roller(13), connected to the axis(12) so as to be rotated; and a washer(14), attached to the axis(12) so as to regulate the interval of the guide roller(13). The tension regulation portion comprises: a connection member(21), connected to the fixing frame(1); and an idle roller(20). The rotation roller portion includes: a rotation roller(30), rotated by a power device(36); and a cover(32) for the rotation roller(30).
