PURPOSE: Provided is an apparatus for fastening a ligature and bracket of orthodontic brace which has an improved structure, includes a torque limiter concretely, and is configured in such a manner, that the ligature and bracket are fastened to a right position of the ligature portion, and is electrically operated. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus(10) for fastening a ligature wire, used for fixing an orthodontic wire to a bracket during an orthodontic treatment, includes: a collect chuck(24), having legs which are separated by a slit, extended longitudinally from a front end so that the collect chuck is widened or closed so as to mount the ligature wire; a cover(26) for wrapping the collect chuck(24); a rotation shaft(22), connected to the collect chuck(24); and a driving device, for driving the rotation shaft(22). The slit of the collect chuck(24) has an extension portion which is distanced from the front end and in which a gap width of the slit is extended.
