摘要
A method for trapping the mercury content of an industrial flue gas such as that produced by fossil fuel or combustion of the solid waste and reducing the ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) or HEDTA, DTPA, and / or chelating agent, such as other similar compounds, such as NTA the addition of agents to the flue gas is removed in a wet scrubber used in the industrial process. The chelating agent is thereby prevented that the oxidized mercury is reduced to the atomic mercury, and thereby increase the mercury removal efficiency of the wet scrubber. An experiment for the mercury concentration in the flue of the industrial gas inlet and outlet was carried out without the addition of EDTA or added. If EDTA is not added, the mercury removal was 42%. When the addition of EDTA, mercury removal increased to 71%.
