PURPOSE: An illumination device for bag and a process for mounting the same on bag are provided to allow the role as a decoration for highlighting the logo or word mark and as an illumination unit for safety in the night. CONSTITUTION: The bag illumination device includes: a display panel(10), wherein a printed layer is formed in the portion except which a light of a word mark(2) or logo(3) is irradiated; a water-proof coating layer, sealing the display panel(10); a mounting frame(16), providing the sewing zone to the bag body(1) along the outer circumference of the water-proof coating layer; a receiving sack(24), arranged inside the bag body(1) and containing a control unit(18) for controlling the display panel(10), and a case(22) with a battery(20) for supplying the power; a connector(28), installed in a power supply line(26) so as to remove the case(22) from the receiving sack(24); and a switch(30), controlling the power supply of the power supply line(26).
