PURPOSE: A method for providing position error correction information of a GPS using IGS(International GPS Service) and a method for correcting a position error of a GPS using the same are provided to transfer the accurate position information by using the predicted orbit information and the satellite clock information. CONSTITUTION: IGS data are collected from an external IGS system(501). The integrity of the IGS data is checked(502). The predicted orbit information and the satellite clock information are extracted from the IGS data(504). GPS position error correction data are generated by interpolating the predicted orbit information and the satellite clock information(505). The GPS position error correction data are transmitted to an external device through a communication network(507).
