Disclosed herein is a drying and carbonizing system for treating organic and waste matter. The system includes a drying furnace (3) which is connected to a screw conveyor (2), with a connection pipe (31) coupled to the drying furnace (3), and both a support (32) and a plate (33) placed in the drying furnace and provided on an outer surface of a communicating pipe (6). The system further includes a carbonizing furnace (4) which communicates with the drying furnace and has a discharge pipe (41) coupled to the carbonizing furnace (4), and a combustion furnace (5) which communicates with the carbonizing furnace. The combustion furnace has a primary combustion chamber (51) connected to the discharge pipe (41), and a secondary combustion chamber (52) connected to the connection pipe (31). The system further includes the communicating pipe (6) which is coupled both to the combustion furnace and to a cyclone (7) and axially passes through the drying furnace and the carbonizing furnace.
