PURPOSE: A device for controlling the tension for a filament winding machine is provided to keep the tension of filaments uniform by installing a tension changing unit and a tension change detecting unit. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling the tension of a filament winding machine is composed of a main body(10), a spool(20) installed at a support frame(11) in the main body, a tension changing unit(30) installed at a main frame(12) and moving filaments wound on the spool, a tension change detecting unit(40) installed at the rear of the tension changing unit and detecting the change of the tension of the filaments, a mandrel(50) installed at the rear of a guide roller(45) and winding the filaments, and a control unit. The control unit receives a signal from the tension change detecting unit, and controls the tension changing unit.
