PURPOSE: A nano second pulse voltage generator using a two-stage non-linear capacitor and a magnetic compression method is provided to generate a high-voltage pulse having a narrow width by using first and second non-linear capacitors and a magnetic switch. CONSTITUTION: A linear pulse transformer includes a plurality of primary coils connected serially to an output terminal of a high-voltage basic pulse generator and a plurality of secondary coils. A plurality of the first non-linear capacitors are coupled in parallel to the secondary coils of the linear pulse transformer. A plurality of magnetic switches are connected to upper ends of the first non-linear capacitors and are formed with ferrite cores. A plurality of the second non-linear capacitors are connected between the magnetic switches and the first non-linear capacitors. A load is connected to both ends of the second non-linear capacitors. The second non-linear capacitors are serially coupled to each other. The internal pulse voltage of the first and the second non-linear capacitors are applied to both ends of the load.
