The invention genes that regulate plant leaf longevity, and relates to a lifetime control method of a plant using the same, more specifically to a plant with a nucleotide sequence shown in the SEQ ID NO: 1, isolated from Arabidopsis thaliana leaf longevity regulatory genes ORE7 and to a lifetime control method for delaying the senescence of plants by over-expressing by introducing said gene into a plant body. Using the leaf life ORE7 regulatory genes of the plant of the invention, by transforming a plant it is possible to improve productivity and increase storage efficiency and extending the life of the plant. In addition, the proteins expressed from ORE7 ORE7 gene and the gene of the invention can be useful like navigation mechanisms of aging studies, age-related gene or senescence inhibitor in plants.
