AIR CONDITIONER CAPABLE OF UNIFORMING LEVEL OF OIL AND METHOD FOR UNIFORMING LEVEL OF OIL FOR AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE: An air conditioner capable of oil balancing operation, and a method for oil balancing operation of an air conditioner are provided to solve disproportion of oil in compressors, thereby preventing compulsory deterioration and damage of parts due to lack of oil. CONSTITUTION: Plural indoor units(11) are installed. Plural outdoor units(21a,21b,21d) have compressors(23,24) and outdoor heat exchangers(25) respectively. First main refrigerant pipes(41) are connected with each other in parallel to join refrigerant compressed in each compressor in cooling operation. Second main refrigerant pipes(43) are connected with an inlet side of each outdoor unit in parallel, wherein the refrigerant passing through each indoor unit flows inside the second main refrigerant pipes. Oil balancing pipes(49) are arranged in association with the outdoor units to flow oil inside the compressors. Connecting oil pipes(50) have one ends connected with the compressors respectively, and the other ends connected with the oil balancing pipes. A control unit controls to separately operate the outdoor units for predetermined time to alternately lower a suction side pressure of one outdoor unit than a suction side pressure of the other outdoor unit.
